Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority in Victoria, BC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist, Child, Youth & Family, to provide tailored assessment, diagnosis and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders for children and youth, within a family-centered approach and BC standards.

You will develop individual and group treatment programs, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and support patients, families and caregivers while prioritizing safety, quality and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized university program in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Two (2) years' recent experience with children, youth and young adults with multiple disabilities and communication disorders.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide Speech-Language Pathology services tailored to children, youth and young adults with a family-centered philosophy.
• Identify, assess, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individual and group treatment programs for assigned caseload.
• Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, staff and the community within professional scope of practice.
