Job summary

Simon Fraser University’s School of Medicine in Surrey is seeking a temporary Manager, Admissions to oversee day-to-day admissions operations. You will translate strategy into actionable plans and manage holistic admissions processes including interviews, references and supplemental submissions.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong decision-making, problem-solving, and a proven track record in managing admissions teams within higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field with five years in post-secondary admissions or student recruitment.
• Experience in developing and delivering admissions services for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing teams, mentoring staff and leading collaborative projects.
• Strong knowledge of post-secondary admissions policies and enrollment management.
• Knowledge of CaRMS and Canadian post-secondary education systems.
• Awareness of equity, diversity and inclusion in admissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the admissions unit.
• Translate strategy into actionable plans and implement admissions policies and systems.
• Lead holistic admissions processes including interviews, references and supplements.
• Provide operational leadership to the admissions team and collaborate with internal and external partners.
