Join the Department of Family Medicine’s Faculty Development team and play a key role in advancing the professional growth of family physicians across Calgary and beyond. As the Faculty Development Program Coordinator, you will support the development and delivery of accredited educational programming that enhances teaching, leadership, clinical practice, and lifelong learning for academic and community-based physicians.This dynamic role offers the opportunity to collaborate with physician leaders, educators, and provincial and national partners while coordinating innovative in-person and virtual learning experiences. You will contribute to program planning and delivery, event coordination, communications, accreditation activities, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. The position provides valuable experience in educational program administration, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of accredited continuing professional development programs.The successful candidate is a proactive, organized, and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities. As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Post-secondary education in business administration, healthcare administration, communications, project coordination, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated experience coordinating programs, projects, events, or administrative operations in a complex environment. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting faculty development, continuing professional development (CPD), medical education, or healthcare education programs. Experience working in a healthcare, academic, or university environment. Familiarity with accreditation processes, virtual learning technologies, website content management systems, and survey or evaluation tools. Experience supporting committees, working groups, or governance structures is an asset.
