Alberta Precision Labs is hiring an Administrative Support II in Medicine Hat for a regular part-time role. You will greet and triage patients, enter test orders into the Laboratory Information System, and perform general administrative duties while upholding privacy and safety standards.
The 0.70 FTE position operates in a fast-paced environment with rotating day/evening/weekend shifts. Minimum Grade 12; post-secondary education preferred.

As one of the first people encountered in the Patient Service Centre (PSC), you’re the face of Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL). Your communication and interpersonal skills will help create a positive, professional impression as you greet and triage patients, providing a high level of customer service. You can quickly and accurately enter test orders from various requisitions into the Laboratory Information System, as well as perform general administrative duties. With a high level of precision, you can meet deadlines and benchmarks following policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety of patients, coworkers, and yourself. You are self-led and accountable for your actions and learn from mistakes. As an Administrative Support II, you will require administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
As Required.
Relevant post-secondary education. Previous data entry experience within the last 6 months preferred. Training and experience in Epic Connect Care with CP Lab Assistant with Result Entry is preferred.Healthcare or clinical laboratory experience with knowledge of laboratory tests delivered. Medical Terminology, knowledge of medical laboratory testing. Experience, courses or training in customer service and/or data entry. Demonstrated Microsoft Office computer skills.
