Salary: The salary range for this position is CAD $24.76 - $26.38 / hour

Job Summary: We are currently looking to fill a Casual opportunity for an Administrative Support Clerk to support Population & Public Health in Burnaby, B.C.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception services, operate multi-line switchboard, answer inquiries, and direct visitors.
  • Type technical and non-technical material using word processing software, prepare informational packages.
  • Maintain filing systems, process mail and courier documents, manage office supplies.
  • Arrange meetings, operate office equipment, assist with client intake, perform timekeeping functions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 and graduation from an approved Office Administration Certificate program plus 1 year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • Effective communication skills in English, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and proficiency in typing (40 wpm).
  • Knowledge of office procedures, relevant acts, and ability to operate office equipment.
