Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for an administrative Assistant – Quality Control and Tax to The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: On-site | Toronto Downtown
Duration: 6 Months
Typical Day in role:
- Review transactions processed by Benefit Payment Administrators for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform thorough quality control checks on transactions completed to avoid errors.
- Indicate results of the quality assessment in the workflow tool noting any discrepancies, clarification or incomplete requests if not approved.
- Adhere to all internal controls and ensure proper documentation is in place for audit purposes.
- Review error reports and address any errors that required correction.
- Review balancing between multiple systems to ensure complete data accuracy.
- Support tax team with year end processing and daily inquiries as they arise.
- Updates spreadsheets for tax team to ensure all changes are captured for year-end processing.
- Effectively communicates with all peers and managers regarding any tax issues
- Adhere to established policies and procedures including escalation of issues.
- Meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deliverables.
Must Have Skills:
- Basic accounting (Balancing)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, etc.)
