Administrative Assistant, Medical

Location: Toronto, ON

Work setting: Clinic, On-site

Salary: $25.00/hour, 30 to 35 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time, Day shifts, Starts as soon as possible

Qualifications
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a 1-2 year program
  • Experience: 1-2 years
  • Languages: English
  • Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, Electronic mail
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the flow of information
  • Interview patients to obtain case histories
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms
  • Maintain filing system
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Establish office procedures and routines
  • Prepare electronic medical reports and correspondence, spreadsheets, and review documents
  • Draft agendas for meetings, transcribe and distribute minutes
  • Perform data entry
Supervision
  • Supervise 1 to 2 people

Additional information

Work must be completed on-site. No remote options.
