Atlas has teamed up with a leading food company in North Mississauga to hire for a new role to support the Accounting Manager. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our clients accounting team and ensure efficient day-to-day operations within the department.

Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant to the Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in assisting with the management of financial documents, organizing departmental activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Accounting Manager in preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, appointments, and schedules for the Accounting Manager and department staff.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
  • Manage communication with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting queries.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements and audit materials.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or business administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in an accounting or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality regarding financial and personal information.
