Administrative Assistant

Location: 490 Maureen Street, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 6T2

Salary: $28.00 per hour, 32 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Workplace: On site (no remote work option)

Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
  • Arrange and coordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
  • Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Review HR projects for legal compliance
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings
  • Determine and establish office procedures
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Manage training and development strategies
  • Analyze employee data and information
  • Develop communication strategies
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Maintain manual and computerized filing systems
  • Type and proofread documents
  • Coordinate with marketing to communicate messages
  • Recruit and hire staff and perform staffing actions
  • Provide post-sale client support
  • Evaluate work environments for safety and health
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff
Qualifications
