ClaimsPro LP in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Claims Adjuster to support Transportation, Equipment, and Cargo teams. This hybrid role combines collaboration on-site with flexible remote work options.

You will evaluate and adjust claims, communicate with clients, and contribute to business development. The ideal candidate has experience in Auto, Property, Liability, or Bodily Injury, with a CIP designation pursued and a commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Auto, Property, Liability, Accident & Benefits or Bodily Injury claims.
  • University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Adjuster’s license, or pursuing CIP designation.
  • Equivalency in education and experience considered.
  • Ongoing commitment to education and learning.

  • Actively adjust claims while maximizing business development opportunities.
  • Market and follow-up on opportunities in a timely manner.

Job description

We have an existing opportunity to add a Claims Adjuster to support our Transportation, Equipment, and Cargo Team! This position will work in a HYBRID environment in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • The ideal candidate should have experience at least one of these areas: Auto, Property, Liability, Accident & Benefits. Bodily Injury claims

  • University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience

  • Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing CIP designation

  • Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Ongoing commitment to education and learning.

  • Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics

  • Good investigative manner

  • Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.

  • Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.

  • Advanced communication skills including:

  • Effective written skills including those of a technical nature

  • Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to audience.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.

  • Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations.

  • Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.
