Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre in North Bay, Ontario is seeking a registered nurse for the Inpatient Rehab/Integrated Stroke Unit to provide patient-centered nursing care and coordinate with the rehabilitation team. The role requires current RN registration with COA/OCNO, BLS, and recent acute care/rehab experience; stroke certification or completion within 60 days is required.

Collaboration with health professionals, patient teaching, and a strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) required
• Demonstrated medical clinical experience in an acute care and rehabilitation setting required
• Experience in providing care to TIA/Stroke patients an asset
• Medication administration required
• Experience with enteral feeding, tracheostomy care; CADD Pump and wound care an asset
• Stroke Nursing Certification required or successful completion within 60 days of hire required
