Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking a co-op/intern student to join our Customer Solutions team. You will execute calculations and analysis for regulatory and management reporting and support actuarial production of work.

You will extract and compile actuarial data to ensure that the investment and risk portfolio conforms to guidelines, build relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to strategic initiatives. This program includes mentorship and internal learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Typically between 1–4 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Enrolled in the actuarial program with 3–4 exams completed.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
• Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
• Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.

Responsibilities

• Execute calculations and analysis for regulatory and management reporting.
• Extract and compile actuarial data to ensure portfolio compliance.
• Support strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment.
• Break down strategic problems and provide insights.
• Review outputs from models used in the Appointed Actuary's opinions.
• Support risk, legal, policyholder services with actuarial input.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned.
