Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking a co-op/intern student to contribute to financial reporting and accounting processes within a dynamic campus program. You will gain exposure to month-, quarter-, and year-end activities while developing skills in data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

We value motivation and a strong desire to learn; completed or near completion of an accounting designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience expected for full-time roles, but the campus program seeks motivated learners.
• Completed or near completion of an accounting designation.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities; collaboration and analytical thinking required.
• Influence and problem-solving skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Consolidates, analyzes, and reports on financial performance to support month-, quarter-, and year-end closing.
• Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Provides guidance on implementation of accounting solutions and programs.
• Gathers data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for financial information packages.
• Supports journal entries and monthly/quarterly reporting packages and reconciliations.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
