Job summary

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our growing team in a hybrid role out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC. You’ll leverage data to inform decisions and support actuarial initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics or related fields.
  • At least two years’ experience in a data analytics role.
  • Experience with SQL, R and Python.
  • Bonus: Experience in P&C insurance.

  • Collaborate with teams to identify use cases for analysis and build models.
  • Translate findings for business leaders.
  • Present findings to diverse audiences, including partners.

Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to join our growing team. This hybrid role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $80,000- $105,000 with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Westland also offers a competitive annual short-term incentive program that enables employees to share in the rewards of the business and emphasizes the measures that are key to our success.
