Job summary

Caressant Care in Bourget, ON is seeking a passionate Activity Director to join our care team on a full-time 18-month contract. You’ll lead engaging resident programs and foster a warm, supportive living environment.

The ideal candidate has a related post-secondary diploma, healthcare experience, and proven leadership. Strong communication and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Point Click Care) are required; salary is competitive with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university.
• Must have at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Must have successfully completed the Food Handlers Course and maintain it.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Point Click Care.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of the Nursing Home Activities & Long Term Care Standards H.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The salary range is $55,000 -$65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
