Job summary

Caressant Care is seeking an experienced Activity Director to join our team in Bourget, ON. This full-time position is an 18-month contract focused on enhancing resident programs and quality of life within our Ontario care homes.

The ideal candidate will hold a post-secondary diploma in recreation/leisure or related field, have healthcare experience, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Point Click Care. Competitive wages and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university
• Must have at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting
• Must have successfully completed the Food Handlers Course and maintain it
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Point Click Care
• Demonstrated leadership ability and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of the Nursing Home Activities & Long Term Care Standards H
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The salary range is $55,000 -$65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
