35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm

Position Description

The Activity Co‑Ordinator plans, organizes, and leads activities and events to improve participants’ physical, mental and social well‑being. Responsibilities include developing activity programs, managing budgets, scheduling, communicating with participants and stakeholders, and ensuring a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: design and implement activity programs tailored to the needs and interests of older adults, which may include physical activities, arts and crafts, educational workshops or social events.
  • Scheduling and logistics: Create and maintain a schedule of activities, book venues, and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are ready and cleaned up afterwards.
  • Participant engagement: Encourage participation, motivate individuals and build a sense of community among members.
  • Budget management: Develop and manage budgets for activities and events, including tracking spending.
  • Communication: inform participants and members about upcoming events through various channels and document activities for marketing and reporting purposes.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant policies and conduct risk assessments.
