Cogir Senior Living is seeking an Active Living Aide for Sharon Corners in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. The role supports planning and implementing engaging programs for residents under the Active Living Manager and Executive Director.

The position requires a college diploma in recreation or gerontology, prior senior care experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A valid driver’s license and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid provincial driver’s license to transport residents by van.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing and implementing meaningful programs for residents with Active Living Manager and Executive Director.
• Maintain department records including assessments and evaluations of activities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, volunteers and staff across departments.
