Job summary

Fed Finance is seeking an Accounts Receivable Technician for a client on Montreal's South Shore. This temporary position is in hybrid mode, offering hands-on experience in invoicing, cash collection, and month-end activities.

You will monitor customer accounts, process payments, reconcile balances, and collaborate with teams to ensure accurate records. A qualification in accounting or administration and proficiency with Excel/ERP are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification in accountancy or administration, or have equivalent experience.
• Have relevant experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
• Be proficient with Excel and comfortable using an accounting system/ERP.
• Demonstrate rigour, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, plus analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding invoices.
• Process incoming payments and credit to customer accounts.
• Analyse balances, identify discrepancies and correct them.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of customer records.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with debt recovery.
• Communicate with customers to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
• Prepare reports on customer accounts, late payments and payments received.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in monthly closings and related accounting tasks.
