Job summary

ROCKWOOL seeks an Accounts Receivables Representative for our Milton office. This is a fully on-site contract role to cover maternity leave until September 2027, with a salary range of CAD 55,000–65,000 based on location and experience.

You will handle payments, postings, inquiries, and month-end AR tasks while maintaining strong customer relations and ensuring data accuracy. The role requires 1–2 years in AR and proficiency in MS Office and SAP FI/CO.

• 1–2 years of AR, credit & collections experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English at a professional level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and AR transactions.
• Post payments to customer accounts from EFT/ACH/Wire and card payments.
• Respond to customer inquiries and maintain strong customer relations.
• Provide support to AR initiatives by contacting internal/external customers.
• Reconcile discrepancies and perform month-end AR activities.

Job description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivables Representative based in our Milton Office location to join the Finance team. This is a fully on-site contract role for maternity leave coverage until September 2027.

What you will be doing:

• The AR Representative, prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Apply and post payments to customer accounts on daily basis from various sources such as EFT/ ACH/Wire, credit & debit card payments and unapplied cash.
• Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and perform root cause analysis.
• Initiate professional contact with internal customer service representatives and external customers as needed to support AR initiatives.
• Print or pull D&B credit reports/help with updating customer files
• Contact credit references, and/or obtain and review customer credit history through the credit check systems
• Contacts customers with delinquent accounts by phone and email, and regular mail to collect customer balances.
• Reconcile customer account discrepancies, over/under payments, credits, etc. & Record adjustment entries on customer accounts as required.
• Responsible for month-end activities such as customer account clearing, account clean-up and reconciliation, send monthly statements to customers.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.

What you bring:

• Diploma or Certificate in accounting, finance, or business.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as AR representative or Credit & Collections
• Written and spoken English language to a high professional business level
• A proven ability to maintain communication with internal and external customers on different organization level
• Able to work under time pressure; being continuously alert for accuracy on numbers and facts.
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel expert level, Power Point), SAP FI/CO module.
• Practice due diligence
• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data

The annual salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
