Position Overview :

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application. This role involves managing a team, optimizing AR workflows, and collaborating with internal departments to maintain healthy cash flow and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor AR staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
• Invoicing & Billing : Oversee the preparation and issuance of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Collections Management : Develop and implement strategies for timely collections, reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
• Cash Application : Ensure accurate and prompt application of customer payments to appropriate accounts.
• Dispute Resolution : Address and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries in a professional manner.
• Reporting & Analysis : Prepare regular AR aging reports, cash forecasts, and other financial reports for management review.
• Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AR operations.
• Compliance & Controls : Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or credit management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
• Construction industry experience is required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
