Accounts Receivable (AR) Department Overview

The AR team is a growing sub-team within the Accounting Operations Team, which handles Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

The AR Department manages billing for our Virtual Card Network (VCN), Brand Sponsored Program (BSP), and Affirm card merchants, along with processing customer and merchant refunds.

Role of the AR Lead

The AR Lead will set objectives aligned with the department goals, manage all AR activities, oversee staff, and ensure accurate month-end close activities and financial records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage invoice processing for merchants and affiliates, ensuring accuracy
2. Handle cash applications, billing adjustments, and maintain AR aging
3. Oversee customer refunds processing
4. Collaborate with CSMs on merchant deal sensitivities and escalation contacts
5. Streamline processes and implement automation related to AR
6. Prepare and review journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, analyze variances
7. Create and track metrics and KPIs, document processes, drive improvements
8. Perform SOX walkthroughs to ensure compliance
9. Provide PBCs for audits as requested
10. Prepare and distribute ad-hoc reports to management

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Grade: H | Equity Grade: 3

Salary range: $78,000 - $118,000 per year, based on experience and location.
