Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

Accounts Receivable (AR) is a growing sub-team within the Accounting Operations Team. The Accounting Operations team is responsible for Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

The Accounts Receivable Department handles billing for our Virtual Card Network (VCN), Brand Sponsored Program (BSP), and Affirm card merchants, along with processing customer and merchant refunds.

The AR Lead will set objectives for the AR Team aligning with department goals, manage all aspects of the AR Department, oversee staff, and ensure timely month-end close activities and accurate financial records.

What You'll Do

  1. Manage timely processing and review of invoices for merchants and affiliates
  2. Handle cash applications, billing adjustments, and maintain AR aging
  3. Oversee timely processing of customer refunds
  4. Collaborate with CSMs on merchant deal sensitivities and escalation contacts
  5. Streamline processes and implement automation related to AR
  6. Prepare and review journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, and analyze variances
  7. Create and monitor metrics, KPIs, and process documentation, driving improvements
  8. Perform SOX walkthroughs to ensure compliance
  9. Provide SOX/Audit PBCs as requested
  10. Prepare and distribute ad-hoc reports to management

Base Pay Grade - H

Equity Grade - 3

Affirm offers a transparent pay structure based on location, experience, and skills, with total compensation including benefits and potential equity rewards.

Base salary ranges from $78,000 to $118,000 annually.

Affirm is a remote-first company, with most roles allowing remote work within the country of employment, and some requiring occasional office presence.
