Accounts Receivable (AR) is a growing sub-team within the Accounting Operations Team. The team handles Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

The AR Department manages billing for our Virtual Card Network (VCN), Brand Sponsored Program (BSP), and Affirm card merchants, along with processing customer and merchant refunds.

The AR Lead is key in setting objectives that align with department goals, managing staff, overseeing responsibilities, and ensuring timely month-end close activities and accurate financial records.

What You'll Do

• Manage invoice processing for merchants and affiliates, review for accuracy
• Handle cash applications, billing adjustments, and maintain AR aging
• Process customer refunds promptly
• Collaborate with CSMs on merchant deal sensitivities and escalation contacts
• Streamline processes and implement automation related to AR
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, analyze variances
• Develop metrics, process documentation, and drive improvements
• Perform SOX walkthroughs to ensure compliance
• Provide PBCs for audits as requested
• Generate ad-hoc reports for management

Affirm offers a transparent pay structure based on experience, location, and skills, with a total compensation package including benefits and potential equity rewards.

Base pay range: $78,000 - $118,000/year.

Affirm is a remote-first company, allowing most roles to be performed remotely within the country of employment, with some roles requiring occasional office presence.
