Job summary

Dulcedo is seeking an Accounting Assistant on the Accounts Receivable side to keep the day-to-day of receivables moving: postings, invoices, follow-ups, and the finance inbox under control.

This is a junior role built for someone early in their accounting career who wants real volume, real systems, and real mentorship. You will report into Finance leadership and work with the AR team while expanding into payables over time.

Qualifications

• Around 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or finance administration.
• A DEC, AEC, or certificate in accounting, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfort with high-volume, detail-heavy work and ownership over accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
• Exposure to an ERP or accounting system; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Clear, polite written communication; discretion with financial data.
• Bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Inbox Command: Sort, triage, and route the finance inbox daily.
• Receipt Posting: Post incoming payments and maintain tidy customer accounts.
• Invoicing Support: Prepare, issue, and file client and brand invoices accurately.
• Overdue Follow-Up: Track invoices past due dates and update aging reports.
• Account Monitoring: Monitor open balances and flag unreconciled items.
• Documentation Tracking: Chase missing documents and organize supporting files.
• Administrative Backbone: Data entry, spreadsheet upkeep, and general finance support.
• Internal Support: Answer routine billing questions and escalate complex items.
• Payable Exposure: Assist on the payable side as needed to understand the full cycle.
