Reporting to the Senior Accounting Officer, the Accounts Payable Technician is responsible for ensuring that accounts payable policies and procedure requirements are met and supporting the Commission’s decentralized accounts payable structure. He/she/they reviews and approves construction claims; conducts reviews and audits of payments and invoices processed by other business areas of the Commission; and performs and leads compliance audits of employee expense claims, ensuring they are submitted in accordance with BC Housing’s policies and procedures. The position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to processing the accounts payable cycle in compliance with BC Housing’s Accounting Procedures, resolving voucher-to-purchase, orders, and payment discrepancies, creating payments, and supporting the accounting department in the preparation of month-end and year-end activities.
