Job summary

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving in Halifax, NS is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing accounting team. This role focuses on timely payments, invoice reviews, and vendor reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have post-secondary education or equivalent experience, proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, strong organization and communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Relevant post-secondary education or two years of equivalent experience.
• Experience using various accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Able to process transactions accurately in large volumes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely payments on accounts owing.
• Review invoices and have them approved by the relevant department.
• Reconciling accounts with vendors.
• Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings.
• Process cheque runs.
• Working in conjunction with the accounting team and other departments.
• Various administrative functions as required.

Our company has seen tremendous growth over the past several years and we are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with a great attitude, willingness to learn and help out wherever needed in terms of our accounting operations.
