Strong Excel skills and independent work style are essential for on-site success in a fast-paced public sector project. The position is a temporary 2-3 month contract based in Toronto, requiring on-site presence five days a week.

• Manage high volumes of vendor accounts, prioritizing reviews to meet tight project deadlines.
• Track reconciliation progress, document findings, and prepare summary reports.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to support a large public sector organization in Toronto with a focused, high-impact reconciliation project.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll obtain and review vendor statements to identify outstanding invoices, credits, aged balances, and payment discrepancies.
• You'll reconcile vendor statements against SAP S/4HANA records and supporting documentation.
• You'll investigate and resolve account discrepancies, coordinating directly with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• You'll manage high volumes of vendor accounts, prioritizing reviews to meet tight project deadlines.
• You'll track reconciliation progress, document findings, and prepare summary reports highlighting resolved and outstanding issues.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience within a large organization, including vendor account analysis and reconciliations.
• 3+ years of practical ERP experience supporting Accounts Payable and vendor account management processes, preferably SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or Ariba.
• Proven ability to review vendor statements and investigate outstanding invoices, credits, payment discrepancies, and aged balances.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding, manage competing priorities, document findings, and deliver results within tight timelines.
