Job summary

Richelieu Hardware in Ville Saint-Laurent, Canada, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to process freight, customs and brokerage invoices on a full-time basis.

The role requires a DEP in Administration, Accounting or Finance, 3 years in AP, bilingual French-English, and proficiency with MS Office; AS400/JDE is an asset.

Qualifications

• DEP in Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 3+ years in accounts payable (full cycle), freight, customs and brokerage.
• Experience processing high volumes of invoices.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel).
• Bilingual French and English, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Process a large volume of invoices (1000–2000 per month) respecting payment terms and company policies.
• Follow-ups on supplier statements and reconcile amounts due.
• Complete requests from supervisor within deadlines.
• Work with a chart of accounts to allocate invoices.
• Knowledge of freight, customs and brokerage is an asset.

Ric​​hieu Hardware, a leading public company in North America as an importer, distributor and manufacturer of specialized hardware is looking for an Accounts payable clerk precisely in the processing of freight, customs and brokerage invoices. The position to be filled is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week), on a 5-day schedule, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is located at the company's head office in Ville St-Laurent.

More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to

• Perform the processing of a large volume of invoices, (between 1000 and 2000 per month), while respecting the terms of payment of each supplier, as well as the policies and procedures of the company;
• Follow-ups on statements of accounts with the various suppliers and reconcile the amounts due;
• Settle the various requests of his immediate superior within the prescribed deadlines;
• Work with a charter of accounts in order to properly allocate invoices;
• Knowledge of the freight, customs and brokerage is an important asset.

Requirements

• DEP in Administration, Accounting, Finance or any other related discipline (any combination of relevant degree and experience may be considered).
• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable (full cycle), specifically in the processing of freight invoices, customs and brokerage.
• Experience in processing large volumes of invoices.
• Good knowledge of ms office suite (Outlook and Excel).
• Bilingualism (French and English) both written and oral
• Knowledge and experience working with AS400 and/or JD Edwards (JDE) systems an asset
