Job summary

Cementation Americas is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to manage the full-cycle invoice process from our North Bay office. The role supports timely vendor payments, accurate coding, and strong vendor relationships within a hybrid work arrangement.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will ensure accuracy, assist with month-end close, and help optimize AP processes while maintaining compliance. Canadian residency is required and mining industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable experience or accounting clerical roles.
• Understanding of accounting principles, sales tax compliance and general ledger coding.
• Experience in mining industry is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable inbox, filing or routing invoices as required.
• Review of accounts payable invoices submitted for potential errors and/or discrepancies.
• Processing of vendor invoices; matching purchase order receipts to invoices and entering within the accounting software.
• Resolve problems or discrepancies and respond to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status.
• Review of employee Expense Report backup to ensure completeness before processing.
• Prepare weekly vendor payment runs for management approval (EFT, wire payments, government tax remittances, etc)
• Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring required accruals are posted and general ledger reconciliations are completed.
• Recommend improvements to accounts payable processes and controls to management.
• Review vendor setup documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure that internal policies and controls are understood and followed in the approval and payment of invoices.
• Reconcile vendor accounts as required.
• Support internal and external financial audits.
