Responsibilities

• Prepare and update government remittances and filings, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and payroll transactions.
• Prepare client files.
• Perform the month-end and quarter-end close process.
• Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions, and point of sale/system uploads.
• Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop solutions.
• Respond to information requests from various levels of government.
• Work collaboratively with the engagement team.
• Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary.

Skills and Experience

• Accounting certificate.
• Advanced knowledge of French.
• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is considered an asset.
• Up to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Experience preparing T4 and T5 slips is considered an asset.
