About The Role

As a Payroll Specialist at Forvis Mazars, you will manage the complete payroll process for a diverse client base, ensuring deadlines and client-specific requirements are met. Your responsibilities include updating payroll system information, handling client inquiries, managing leave balances and wage garnishments, and preparing employment records and year-end reports. Precision and attention to detail are essential to ensure quality service and legal compliance.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of client payrolls, including low to moderate complexity.
  • Maintain tracking of each client's payroll schedule based on their pay frequency.
  • Update payroll system data, such as new hires and insurance enrollments.
  • Respond professionally to client requests, providing high-quality service.
  • Manage tracking of entitlements like vacation, sick leave, and execute legal notices as needed.
  • Produce employment records and payroll reports.
  • Prepare year-end processing, including tax slips and summaries.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Your Skills And Experience
  • Currently obtaining or planning to obtain accreditation from the National Payroll Institute (INP).
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
  • DEC in accounting or equivalent.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage stress, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong customer service orientation and team spirit.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Good knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Desjardins, Nethris, Deluxe).
  • Rigor, adaptability, and quick execution.
  • Knowledge of payroll and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
