Job summary

FDDF is seeking an experienced accountant to assume full responsibility for the company and related entities. Reporting to the controller, you will ensure precise, timely accounting across Quebec and Ontario projects, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and delivering reliable month-end packages.

The role requires a DEC/DEP/AEC in accounting, at least five years in construction accounting, payroll experience, and fluency in French with good English.

Qualifications

• DEC/DEP/AEC in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years accounting experience in the construction sector.
• Minimum 3 years construction payroll experience.
• Proficiency in French and good knowledge of English (oral and written).
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Experience with accounting software (Acomba or Sage 50, an asset).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts in the accounting software.
• Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable (entry, payments).
• Manage accounts receivable (billing, collections).
• Enter accounting entries and adjustments.
• Process construction payrolls.
• Prepare month-end and year-end documents.
