Job summary

Uptime Industrial Inc. seeks an Accounting Supervisor to lead day-to-day accounting operations and supervise the Finance team’s AP, AR, and Payroll. This hands-on role performs full-cycle accounting and month-end close while working with the Controller on financial reporting and processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting, payroll for hourly staff, and strong Excel/analytical skills. Manufacturing/project-based experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA designation or working towards designation is considered an asset.
• 3+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising and supporting a direct report.
• Hands-on payroll experience with hourly employees is required.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, QuickBooks Online and/or Service Titan is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support one or more Finance team members across AP, AR, and Payroll.
• Review work and provide day-to-day guidance and coaching.
• Provide backup coverage for AP, AR, and Payroll as required.
• Perform full-cycle accounting and support monthly and year-end close.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and other month-end entries.
• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the Controller with financial reporting, analysis, and accounting projects.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and drive process improvements.
