Job summary

TransX LTD is seeking an Accounting Specialist – Level 2 in Winnipeg to support yield analysis, reporting, and budgeting. You’ll partner with Finance and Operations to ensure timely, accurate financial data across divisions and lead in the absence of the Financial Supervisor.

The role emphasizes asset management, reconciliations, and continuous process improvements within a Canadian‑US policy framework. A CPA path and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Currently working toward CPA – Canada and enrolled in PEP program (expected within 1–2 years).
• Minimum 4–6 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong proficiency with Great Plains, Vena, TMW, and TMT; advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue and expenses and ensure accurate postings.
• Manage asset balances and coordinate with CN and internal departments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and provide variance analyses.
• Lead and train Accounting Associates on systems and processes; cover for Financial Supervisor.
