Job summary

xNorth is recruiting an Accounting Analyst to support the Finance Transformation Project in Canada. You will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account certifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance within financial controls.

Join a team that coordinates with external auditors, supports monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, and contributes to regulatory reporting where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a financial institution or broker-dealer.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors.
• Exposure to regulatory or group reporting is an asset.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily and monthly accounting entries, including journal postings and account reconciliations.
• Perform account certifications and ensure compliance with internal control standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide audit support documentation.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Support regulatory or group reporting submissions as required.
