Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks an Accounting Manager for a 6-month on-site contract in Scarborough. You will lead the month-end close, prepare monthly and annual financial statements, and monitor profitability by project.

You will supervise the accounting team, oversee job costing, labour costing and overhead allocations, maintain internal controls, and coordinate external audits. CPA preferred but not required; US GAAP exposure is an asset.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience, including month end, financial statement prep, and full-cycle accounting.
• Construction industry experience – WIP, revenue recognition, lease accounting, cut-off procedures.
• CPA is strongly preferred but not required.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience is an asset but not required.
• Exposure to US GAAP is an asset but not required.
