Are you a dependable, experienced accountant who thrives in an independent role where you can take ownership of the entire finance function? Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager who can run the accounting department solo, reporting to the CEO. Our client operates at the intersection of technology and live experiences, providing award-winning software and hardware solutions for industries centered around entertainment, events, and audience engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Drive Financial Accuracy: Prepare and analyze operational and sales performance reports, offering actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead Compliance Efforts: Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and company policies across all finance functions.
• Streamline Accounts Receivable: Oversee invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations to maintain healthy cash flow and accurate records.
• Oversee Sales Orders: Manage the end-to-end sales order process, working cross-functionally with sales and customer service to ensure efficiency and resolve discrepancies.
• Control Expenses: Supervise employee expense reporting, reviewing submissions for accuracy and policy compliance before approval.
• Manage Accounts Payable: Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments and well-maintained vendor relationships.
• Collaborate Cross-Border: Partner closely with the parent company’s finance team to meet month-end close deadlines and respond to information requests.

Qualifications:

• CPA an asset
• A steady and experienced individual with approximately 7 years of experience and 2+ years in a managerial position
• Strong understanding of inventory and hardware processes
• A track record of staying in roles long-term
