Job summary

Taylor Volkswagen in Regina is seeking an Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee full cycle accounting, financial analysis and reporting for a busy dealership. You will report to the General Manager and lead a team of two Accounting Clerks, driving accuracy and timely financial insights.

The role requires a degree in Financial Accounting or Business Administration, with CPA designation an asset, and strong proficiency in accounting software.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Financial Accounting and/or Business Administration.
• CPA designation is an asset.
• Proficient in full cycle accounting using accounting software.
• Experience in a product sales/service environment is an asset.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Personal integrity and strong work ethics; able to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-cycle financial accounting including A/P, A/R, journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.
• Lead and coach Accounting Clerks to foster a motivated, ethical team environment.
• Prepare and submit GST, PST and payroll source deductions and regulatory filings.
• Compile financial statements and deliver timely, accurate reports to stakeholders.
• Assess and track product sales and service documents for accuracy.
• Assist with cash flow, insurance, and budgeting processes.
• Coordinate payroll documents and information for processing.

Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of 2 Accounting Clerks, you will provide full cycle accounting, financial analysis and reporting for this reputable dealership located in East Regina.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide full-cycle financial accounting including A/P, A/R, journal entries, bank/credit card reconciliations and reporting.
• Provide leadership and coach the Accounting Clerks, instilling a motivated and positive work team. Ensure organizational ethics and values are intact and lived within the workplace.
• Prepare / process and submit government remittances including GST, PST and payroll source deductions and regulatory filings.
• Compile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reports to stakeholders.
• Assess, track and process product sales and service documents.
• Assist with accounting cashflow, insurance and budgeting.
• Coordinate required payroll documents and information for processing.

You will bring:

• Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting and/or Business Administration is preferred. CPA designation is an asset.
• Proficiency in full cycle accounting utilizing accounting software programs. Experience in a product sales/service work environment is an asset.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
