Job summary

Real Fruit Bubble Tea is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in Ontario to oversee full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR/GL, month-end close, and financial reporting.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and planning, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and support tax compliance for Canadian and USA operations. The role requires strong Excel skills and hands-on collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and planning.
  • Canadian sales tax knowledge; USA tax knowledge is an asset.
  • Proficient Excel skills; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, GL, and month-/year-end closing.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. This role will oversee full-cycle accounting responsibilities while supporting financial reporting, planning, compliance, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing activities;
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting reports;
  • Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning;
  • Prepare and review adjusting journal entries;
  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data;
  • Support cash flow management and financial analysis;
  • Assist with tax planning and compliance activities.
Tax Compliance
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of Provincial and Federal sales tax requirements;
  • Support compliance with Canadian tax obligations and USA tax requirements;
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
Shareholder & Corporate Accounting
  • Maintain accounting records related to shareholders, including shareholder draws and dividends;
  • Support reporting and documentation related to ownership transactions;
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of shareholder-related accounting activities.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage accounting processes and reporting;
  • Develop and maintain advanced spreadsheet tools for financial analysis and reporting;
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred;
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience;
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience;
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning;
  • Strong understanding of adjusting entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations;
  • Experience supporting shareholder accounting, including draws and dividends;
  • Knowledge of Canadian Provincial and Federal sales taxes;
  • Familiarity with USA tax requirements is an asset;
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel/spreadsheet skills;
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset;
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
