Job summary

Real Fruit Bubble Tea is hiring aJunior Interior Designer to support hospitality-focused projects. You will work with the design team from concept to construction, while also spending time in-store as a Bubble Tea Barista to understand customer flow and operations.

The role involves creating design drawings, mood boards, and FF&E plans, and collaborating with contractors and suppliers to deliver brand-oriented store environments. Canadian brand with growth across North America.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design from an accredited Interior Design program.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with 3D rendering/visualization tools such as Enscape, Rhino, SketchUp, or 3ds Max is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Canadian building codes, construction methods, and interior detailing.
  • Passion for hospitality, retail, and customer-focused design.

Responsibilities

  • Gain firsthand experience working in-store as a Bubble Tea Barista to better understand customer experience and store operations.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and design team throughout all phases of design, from concept through construction.
  • Develop creative design concepts that align with the Real Fruit Bubble Tea brand.
  • Prepare design drawings, layouts, presentation materials, and construction documentation.
  • Produce FF&E plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Create mood boards, material palettes, sketches, and 3D visualizations using Enscape, Rhino, SketchUp, or 3ds Max.
  • Assist with space planning while ensuring compliance with building codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Coordinate with landlords, consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Attend project meetings, client meetings, site visits, and store openings.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and design quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of construction materials and hospitality design trends.
  • Support additional design and project-related initiatives.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Junior Interior Designer will support hospitality‑focused interior design projects by contributing to concept development, design documentation, project coordination, and execution. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver innovative, functional, and brand‑focused store environments.

As part of the role, you will also spend time working in‑store as a Bubble Tea Barista. This unique experience helps our design team better understand customer flow, store operations, and the overall guest experience - allowing you to design spaces that truly work for both customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain firsthand experience working in-store as a Bubble Tea Barista to better understand customer experience and store operations.

Availability

Salary Range: CAD $20.00 - CAD $25.00 per hour
