Position Title: Accounting Manager

Position Summary

Q LLC is a pioneering firearms design and technology company committed to precision, innovation, and excellence. As a well-established manufacturer with a dedicated workforce of approximately 60 employees, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations. This individual will oversee all accounting functions, manage payroll, ensure compliance, and provide financial insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with strong leadership skills, proven experience in manufacturing environments, and a working knowledge of isolved.

• Payroll Management: Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing in alignment with regulatory standards.

• Strategic Financial Planning: Support leadership through data-driven budgeting and forecasting.

• Process Optimization: Improve accounting systems and workflows for increased efficiency.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Operations, and Executive Teams to support business growth.

• Technology Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software; isolved experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Oversee payroll processing, tax filings, and benefits integration with a focus on compliance and accuracy.

• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger oversight.

• Lead budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with department leaders.

• Supervise fixed asset management, capital appropriation requests, and cost tracking for major projects.

• Serve as the escalation point and backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.

• Conduct variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and other financial modeling as needed.

• Support inventory reconciliation and physical inventory audits.

• Lead and mentor junior finance team members, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• CPA License: Required.

• Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead accounting operations and mentor finance staff.

• Payroll Knowledge: Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.

• Software Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with QuickBooks and isolved.

• Communication Skills: Ability to explain financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Education and Experience

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Preferred: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a management or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
