Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) seeks an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and Cash. You will support 30+ departments across Canada, preparing invoices, coding, and reconciliations while learning from seasoned professionals.

Requirements: enrolled in a degree or diploma program (e.g., Agribusiness, Accounting/Finance, Economics) and proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel). Full-time availability for May–August; paid internship in Winnipeg, MB.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree or diploma program in a related field (e.g., Agribusiness, Business Management, Economics, Accounting/Finance).
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities; able to work independently.
• Commitment to a May–August 4-month term and full-time availability.

Internship Overview

As Accounting Intern, you will gain meaningful, hands‑on experience in the Accounts Payable and Cash department and be responsible for providing assistance for our 30+ departments spread across Canada. Students will build practical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to real projects that support our business, customers and communities.

Day to Day

• Preparing, coding & processing of invoices
• Reconciling supplier accounts
• Communicating with country locations to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Providing back-up support for the Cash and Accounts Payable Clerks

What We're Looking For
