Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited in Dugald, MB is seeking an Operations Intern for a paid, 4-month term (May–August). You will gain hands-on experience across grain handling, logistics, and crop inputs while supporting day-to-day operations.

You’ll learn from seasoned professionals, participate in real projects, and develop skills in administration, contracts, field scouting, and customer service within the Grain and Crop Inputs division.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Agriculture, Food Science, Environmental Science, Mechanical Techniques, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in agriculture industry and practices.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with grain handling and sorting, including supporting truck loading activities and conducting sample testing
• Handling and delivering crop input products
• Field and crop scouting duties as required
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
• Performing exceptional customer service duties

Education

Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Agriculture, Food Science, Environmental Science, Mechanical Techniques, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
