Job summary

Seaboard Armour Transportation & Logistics Team in Dartmouth, NS is seeking an Accounting Co-op Student to gain a full picture of how our business operates. You’ll work with the Accounting team and the Director of Finance, contributing meaningful work and building connections across the organization through shadowing, ride-alongs, and cross-functional tours.

This program provides exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional learning through department meetings, and hands-on experience beyond

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Solid organizational and analytical abilities.
• A proactive, professional approach when working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations for broker accounts, bank accounts, and various GL accounts.
• Prepare and post manual and recurring journal entries.
• Support month-end close activities.
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Contribute to special projects and other accounting-related tasks.

Position Overview

As an Accounting Co-op Student, you won’t just be working behind the scenes—you’ll gain a full picture of how our business operates. Working closely with our Accounting team and Director of Finance, you’ll contribute to meaningful work while building valuable connections across the organization. This program goes beyond the numbers. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with senior leadership, meet department heads to better understand the business, and experience operations firsthand through job shadowing, ride-alongs, and cross-functional tours.

What You'll Be Doing
