We’re looking for an Accounting Clerk who’s organized, detail-oriented, and ready to grow. You’ll play a key role in supporting our accounting operations and helping the business run smoothly behind the scenes.

Position Summary

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and administrative activities of the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection, organization, and tracking of client financial documentation.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
  • Prepare and send reminders to clients regarding upcoming deadlines or outstanding items.
  • Perform data entry and maintain financial records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Support payroll processing activities through platforms such as Nethris.
  • Help ensure all accounting documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting and finance department.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in accounting, administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience :

  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting support role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Nethris) is considered an asset.

Technical Skills :

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Language Requirements :

  • Fluency in both French and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Professional and client-focused demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Initiative and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
