Job description

Compensation: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 yearly

Robert Half is currently recruiting for an accounting clerk position with one of its long-established clients in Edmonton. This remote work opportunity offers a fantastic benefits package and excellent career advancement options.

Responsibilities:

1. Gather information regarding assets in accounts (including research into the tax cost) and ensure that the cost and market values of investments reconcile with the custodian and investment manager, then input the results into the financial statements.
2. Gather information regarding income summaries and investment summaries, investigate any unusual sources of income, and input the results into the financial statements.
3. Prepare routine payment memos, issue memos, and follow up on payments.
4. Monitor daily account balances and provide any offside reports to the Director of Accounting.
5. Provide backup to the Trust Accounting Associate and Director of Accounting.
6. Handle transfer of funds and reporting of trust accounts.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience is an asset
• BA in Accounting or a similar degree preferred
• Trust or investment accounting experience is valuable
• ERP system experience
• High-volume reconciliation experience
