Job summary

HW Partners seeks a CPA-qualified Manager to lead multiple assurance and non-assurance engagements, mentor staff, and contribute to firm growth from Ottawa. You will guide client service, manage priorities, and uphold quality standards.

You bring at least four years in public practice with leadership experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and a collaborative, client-focused approach. Bilingual English/French is a plus.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (or equivalent) and eligible to practice.
• Minimum four years in public practice with leadership experience.
• Advanced knowledge of compilation, review, and engagements, plus corporate and personal tax.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in client management, team leadership, and file documentation.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Bilingual English/French is an asset.

• Oversee and manage multiple assurance and non-assurance engagements, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Lead pre-engagement planning, scope and assign work, and maintain firm quality assurance standards.
• Apply technical expertise to provide insightful recommendations and solutions for clients.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for added value and new business.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a culture of learning and high performance.
• Participate in firm management, policy development, and professional standards committees.
• Deliver presentations and training, sharing your expertise internally and externally.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance evaluations, helping select and grow top talent.
