Northern Lakes College is seeking a permanent Accounting Assistant to support Finance Services across multiple locations in northern Alberta. Responsibilities include receivables, payables, and data entry using the U4 Financial System, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.
The role requires a post-secondary certificate in Accounting or Business Administration, 1–3 years of related experience, and a clean criminal record; travel and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Salary: $52,428 to $63,972 per year
Location: Fairview or Slave Lake
Start Date: October 1, 2026
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounting Assistant will provide assistance to Finance Services and its clients. Responsibilities are diverse and include all accounts receivable/payable functions. The Accounting Assistant is part of a diverse team and should work effectively as part of this team, as well as work well independently. The Accounting Assistant must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel plus have a familiarity with financial transactions and databases.
The Successful candidate must provide College or University transcripts and a clean Criminal Record Check to Human Resources prior to commencement.
This position is covered under the Collective Agreement between Northern Lakes College and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees.
