Job description

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 12 : 00 PM – 4 : 30 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our team in Barrie. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking for consistent part-time hours. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations and assisting with administrative and HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable (A / P and A / R) processes
  • Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Maintain and update financial records and filing systems
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting activities
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Respond to internal and vendor inquiries
  • Provide support during audits, budgeting, and reporting
  • Assist with HR-related tasks as needed

Qualifications :

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with accounting software, specifically SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information
  • Effective communication and time management abilities
